The factions stated that this decision is also part of a serious escalation plan carried by the Israeli government and its defense minister, Ehud Barak.The plan also paved the way for the Israeli army to carry a series of assassinations, shelling and invasions into the coastal region.
The factions also stated that Israel is attempting to eliminate the resistance from the Palestinian territories in order to impose its own version of a final status solution to the conflict by ignoring the Right Of Return of the Palestinian refugees and voiding the possibilities of creating an independent sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The factions added that the struggle against the Israeli occupation is a struggle of existence as Israel is also intensifying its siege over the occupied territories and is ongoing with its daily attacks and violations.
Moreover, the factions slammed any attacks or attempts to increase the conflict between Fateh and Hamas, and any policies that violate the rights of the residents and employees of the governmental sector.
The factions called for unity among all residents and factions, and called on Hamas movement to end its military control over the Gaza Strip and to close its political prisons.
The faction also demanded the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, the PLO Executive Committee and the government of Dr. Salaam Fayyad, to conduct immediate reforms, and to void recent decisions which affected dozens of thousands of employees of the public sector, and laborers.
The statement also declared that the Palestinian people and their resistance factions have the right to defend themselves against the ongoing Israeli assaults, invasions and assassination.
